The Seattle Seahawks beat the Kansas City Chiefs 20-3 on Sunday Night Football, sending a statement to the rest of the NFL. The Chiefs came in undefeated at 5-0, while the Seahawks had plenty to prove at 3-3. What’s underrated is that Seattle just played the two most physical teams in the league in a five-day span last week, while Kansas City has been beating up on largely inferior opponents. There were too many honorable mentions to list them all in this performance, but linebacker Tyrice Knight deserves a mention for stepping in for an injured Drake Thomas and fitting his gaps well, and tight end AJ Barner was an excellent Robin to Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s Batman in the passing game. We’ll discuss more individual performances as we evaluate the film this week.Without further ado, here are your six Studs and zero Duds for Week 7.STUDSNick EmmanworiNick Emmanwori didn’t fill up the stat sheet tonight — he allowed his teammates to do so, while making sure the Chiefs didn’t. Every time they showed him on a replay, he was making a game-changing play or terrifying Kansas City’s offense when they tried to establish a rhythm. Two coverage reps on NFL Scouting Combine 40-yard dash record holder and Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy showed Emmanwori clamping him, going stride-for-stride on a slot fade and keeping him blanketed on a crosser. Team leader Smith-Njigba took the podium to begin the postgame press conference and called him “the most versatile player in the league.” Emmanwori’s magnum opus of the night, though, was his chasedown of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, which caused him to throw an uncharacteristically terrible pass that ended up in the hands of fellow safety Ty Okada for an interception. Safety, linebacker, defensive end — whatever position Nick Emmanwori plays, he instills fear in the opponent.Jaxon Smith-Njigba (JSN)There were murmurs of Chiefs rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane playing man coverage on JSN this week, and Kansas City was forced to try it early. It ended the same way it does for every other defensive back — two explosive receptions that threw a wrench in the gameplan before the first half was over. JSN had nine receptions on 12 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown, keeping him first among NFL wideouts in all three categories. He lined up inside and outside as a modern receiver should tonight, ran all sorts of routes, and kept finding his way down the middle of the field and the sideline. Fellow Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp handed him the baton of the modern receiving prototype when he came to Seattle, and JSN’s run farther than anyone could’ve imagined with it to define the position’s evolution in the last decade.Emanuel WilsonNo position group on the Seahawks has had more consistent struggles than their running back room, but Emanuel Wilson quelled the doubts tonight. He became the team’s first 100-yard rusher of the season tonight on 24 carries, and showed a surprising improvement in vision that even Kenneth Walker III struggled with. He outplayed his counterpart on the Chiefs after a week chock-full of media hype around the Super Bowl LX MVP, and although his style isn’t typically explosive, he’s a consistently tough grinder. He’ll still have a role when Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price eventually return because of this.Anthony BradfordRight guards never get the glory they deserve, but Anthony Bradford had one of the best offensive line performances the Seahawks have seen this season in Week 7. It showed up individually as he used his sheer strength to manhandle Chiefs defenders into the ground. It showed up far more in the entire unit’s improvement, though, as they were able to run the football effectively and kept quarterback Sam Darnold as clean as any game this season despite going against a tough Kansas City defensive line. Bradford was thought to be replaceable last season, but 2026 has been an examination of his value in a way few could’ve foreseen.Seahawks Defensive LineThe story of the night was Super Bowl LX MVP and former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III returning to face his old team, while having one of the best seasons for a running back in NFL history through five games. It appears the Seahawks hold the keys to Walker, because their defensive line made him a complete non-factor to the point Kansas City stopped using him altogether. They ran up the stat sheet while displaying their trademark violence in a way no other team is able to do. While some thought their 35-game streak of not allowing a 100-yard rusher was in jeopardy tonight, they extended it to 36 against the NFL’s leading rusher coming into this week. Defensive tackles Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II both need to be considered for All-Pro nods, while the edge presence of Derick Hall, Demarcus Lawrence and Uchenna Nwosu gives them as clear an identity as you can imagine. Ty OkadaIt’s easy to forget about safety Ty Okada when his game-changing play happened early in the game, but his opportunistic nature was just what the doctor ordered for this secondary. He hasn’t had a chance to shine since coming back for the team’s two recent losses to the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, but made sure he would when he popped up in the right spot to intercept Mahomes’ pressured throw, playing the complementary football Emmanwori needed when wreaking havoc in the backfield. The Seahawks' momentum was mounting before this, but it felt like that was the moment they turned the game into their practice field.Follow seahawkswire.usatoday.com and @TheSeahawksWire on X for human analysis of all things Seahawks. This article originally appeared on Seahawks Wire: Seahawks' all Studs and no Duds in Week 7 statement win over Chiefs
