MINNEAPOLIS, MN - NOVEMBER 03: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (3) runs with the ball Indianapolis Colts safety Julian Blackmon (32) defends during the NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings on November 3rd, 2024, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN. They’ll be returning to U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 7 to host the Indianapolis Colts, and the folks who get paid to set the betting odds seem to think that they’ll emerge from that game unscathed.Skol! The over/under for this one has started out at 42.5 points. The Colts had a bit of a rough week in Week 6, as they fell to the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium by a score of 26-20. It was the first victory of the season for the Titans, and the Colts couldn’t get out of their own way all afternoon. They turned the ball over three times, including a pair of interceptions from Daniel Jones, and also had a punt that was blocked by the Titans and returned for a touchdown. That’s how the Colts managed to lose despite holding the Titans to just 186 yards of total offense while blowing a 13-0 halftime lead on their home field. That loss dropped the Colts to 2-4 on the season and has our friends from Stampede Blue calling for their team to “blow it up.”The Vikings, as we’ve mentioned, are one of three teams in the NFL who are still undefeated at 5-0, along with the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs climbed to 5-0 by beating the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, while the Niners can get to 6-0 if they defeat the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football. The Vikings have done this despite being fairly anemic on offense, thanks to the performance of their defensive and special teams units. In their last game, they overcame two red zone turnovers to defeat the New Orleans Saints by a score of 23-13 in a game that they played without left tackle Christian Darrisaw and wide receiver Jordan Addison, and saw tight end T.J. Hockenson go out on the second play of the game with a concussion. The sportsbooks have spoken, folks, and the Vikings are pretty significant favorites to push their record to 6-0 this week when they face off against the Colts. Does that sound like the right number to you folks? Let us know in the comments.
