Shelby's Wrestling Corner names Bayley Wrestler of the Week

About the Series: Shelby's Wrestling Corner discusses wrestlers in AEW and WWE who made an impact over the last week. Whether it be a cool move that made the crowd gasp or a promo that stuck with fans days later, this is a place to celebrate professional wrestling. This week, we will be looking at performances from Oct. 23 to Oct. 29.As a wrestling fan, it is assumed that I enjoy violence, and to be honest, I do. I love to see people get beat up, I love to see chairs getting used and I love to see Bayley standing tall over Lyra Valkyria with a kendo stick in hand. This feud has had its ups and downs, but these women really put on a show during Monday Night Raw, using chairs and other weapons in unique ways that made the crowd in the arena and at home pay attention. The final shot of the match with Bayley standing over Lyra seems like a good stopping point for the two, but I am not quite sure if this is the end. With Lyra recently going insane, I wouldn't be surprised to see her stalk Bayley and ruin her future opportunities after this most recent bout.If this is the end of this storyline, or at least a pause, I would love to see Bayley go for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, or any other title really. She could join the fight against the Judgment Day with Becky Lynch and Iyo Sky, or she could start an entirely new storyline. Either way, I am excited to see Bayley move on from Lyra and show what we all know she can do.Your VoiceIf you have a favorite professional wrestler that you want to talk about, send your name and comments to SReeves@Gannett.com for a chance to be in the next edition of Shelby's Wrestling Corner. This article originally appeared on Chillicothe Gazette: Shelby's Wrestling Corner names Bayley Wrestler of the Week
