NFL Draft stock report- sell: Dylan Raiola, QB, Oregon

Here is a guy that we have tried and tried to be patient with, but now, we've finally given up on. We even gave him the benefit of the doubt after he had his worst game ever, a couple weeks ago. However, at this point, Oregon Ducks quarterback Dylan Raiola, he ain't it. To borrow the phrase popularized by Bill Parcells "you are your record." Or as F. Scott Fitzgerald famously said, "action is character." And Raiola's consistent actions include missing open receivers, poor timing on throws and inefficiency in reading defenses. The Ducks came to Champaign-Urbana as double digit favorites yesterday, and they left with a double digit loss. And the next day, they sacked their first year offensive coordinator, Drew Mehringer. Anytime the OC gets terminated, it speaks volumes about the quarterback play. To be fair, Raiola, Mehringer and company were missing four of their top five wide receivers on Saturday, but the Ducks offense has been abysmal ever since Dante Moore went down with a head injury about a month ago. Raiola was a five star rated recruit who went to Nebraska amidst expectations that he would bring the Cornhuskers back to the glory days of a generation ago. Instead, we're seeing the same thing with Oregon that we saw at Nebraska, Raiola just can't handle the blitz. He was a guy who was once deemed "baby Patrick Mahomes."Raiola is now more like Michigan's Bryce Underwood, a 5-star QB who now appears destined to not even play at the next level.
