However, the Bavarians now have a major concern at the left wing position after Luis Díaz went down late with a non-contact injury. After picking up a knock late in the weekend match against RB Leipzig, Díaz was a precautionary omission from the starting XI, with regular left-back Alphonso Davies in his place at wing. The Colombian international was finally introduced in the 68th minute — and only made it until the 90th before going down on the field away from the ball.“He already had muscular problems before the game and felt it slightly again now,” Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl confirmed after the game in comments captured by Sky Germany reporter Kerry Hau (via @iMiaSanMia). “We didn’t want to take any risks. Let’s wait and see…” Bayern coach Vincent Kompany struck an upbeat tone.“I don’t think it’s serious. But when it happens twice in a short time, then it’s something to worry about a bit,” Kompany shared. If Díaz is indeed forced to be out for a spell, Davies could see much more time in the Bayern attack in the coming weeks. More to come as soon as we learn more about the injury.Join the conversation!Sign up for a user account and get:New, improved notifications system!Fewer adsCreate community postsComment on articles, community postsRec comments, community posts
