Jared Verse 'not worried' about Steelers, Cam Heyward as rematch arrives

BEREA ― It's a story in three acts involving two of the best defensive linemen in one of the NFL's longest-running rivalries. All of it leading up to a fourth act coming Nov. 1 when their two teams tangle for surpremacy in the AFC North.Act one was on Oct. 1, when the Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24 in Cleveland. After the game, Browns defensive end Jared Verse called the Steelers "dirty" before saying, "It’s good. I can’t wait until we see them again. I’m going to put that one on the calendar. I can’t wait to get my hands on them again."That was after Verse, who had just played in his first game in the rivalry, also said, "They did a little extra stuff out there. I’m not going to get too much into it. The film’s on it. That's when he offered up his own retort to Verse's postgame comments."Double teaming, sliding, chipping, are those not allowed in our game?” Heyward said Oct. 27 on the show. “Yeah, I got the bruises to prove it. But we don’t whine about it, baby. It’s part of the game. And so, I’m looking forward to this game. It’s gonna be a fun game. Both teams are in position to do a lot of work in this division, as they say.“The AFC North is on fire and I’m glad I’m in the kitchen because I like it that way. But those are words that were said and they will be addressed.”Well, act three arrived Oct. 29. It was the first time Verse spoke this week ahead into the rematch between the Browns and Steelers in Pittsburgh.If anyone was expecting the confident Verse to back down, either from his initial comments or the future Hall of Famer Heyward, well, you don't know him."I'm not worried about Cam," Verse said. "I'm not worried about their O (offensive) line. I'm not worried about nobody they got on their team. We out there to go dominate … ."This is a developing story.
