Coby White, Kon Knueppel and more to miss Hornets' home opener vs. Hawks

Following their victory against the Brooklyn Nets, the Hornets have returned to Charlotte ahead of their home opener against the Atlanta Hawks Friday, Oct. 23. However, the team revealed Thursday evening that Coby White, Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams will still be sidelined, along with two-way player Kylan Boswell. Knueppel, a phenom for the Hornets last season, averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists, only missed one game as a rookie. In their absence, once again, expect big contributions from both Brandon Miller and Grayson Allen. Naz Reid will be a player to watch as well, tying a career-high with seven assists against Brooklyn. For Atlanta, they will likely play through former No. 20 overall pick Jalen Johnson, in addition to veteran guard CJ McCollum. After Friday's game against the Hawks, Charlotte will play the Miami Heat Saturday on the second night of a home back-to-back.For more NBA content, check out the BasketBaltes podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@BasketBalteshttps://www.instagram.com/basketbaltes/This article originally appeared on Rookie Wire: Coby White, Kon Knueppel and more to miss Hornets' home opener vs. Hawks
