A six-day bootcamp on AI-Assisted Software Engineering has begun at the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, bringing together 28 young participants from Madheshi, Muslim and other communities. The training aims to equip participants with practical skills to transform an idea into a live, deployed web product using artificial intelligence tools. The bootcamp is the second training programme under the CODE Project in Birgunj, following a digital marketing and content creation training held in October. Organized by Leapfrog Connect, with the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry as its ecosystem partner, the programme introduces participants to the workflow of modern technology companies. Participants are divided into project teams covering product management, design, software development, quality assurance (QA) and DevOps. During the training, participants will use tools and platforms including GitHub, .np domains and Netlify to develop and deploy their projects. The six-day programme will conclude with a Demo Day, where teams will showcase their live products to mentors, fellow participants and industry representatives, followed by a graduation ceremony. The CODE Project is funded by the European Union and led by Swisscontact in partnership with Restless Development and the Robotics Association of Nepal.
