It's been chaos around the Florida State Seminoles over the last few days. Not only did they fire head coach Mike Norvell, but they also let go of defensive coordinator Tony White and safeties coach Evan Cooper. However, several players have made it clear that they remain loyal to their pledge to FSU.One of them is 2027 three-star defensive lineman Eric Vaulx Jr. out of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi. Although he was shocked to hear that Norvell was out, he remains locked in with his commitment to Florida State."I'm in awe. It really hurts to see him get fired he was big reason why I committed but I'm still strong with FSU," Vaulx told 247Sports.Vaulx is listed as the No. 709 recruit in the nation and the No. 87 defensive lineman in the 247Sports composite rankings. They also ranked him as the state of Mississippi's No. 20 prospect.FSU made waves very quickly when it came to recruiting Vaulx. They offered him back in March, and hosted him for an unofficial visit in April. He took an official visit on May 29, and two days later he committed to the Seminoles. He was also on campus last weekend for the game versus the Clemson Tigers. The 6-foot-2.5, 265-pounder is the second-highest ranked commitment for Florida State on the defensive line in 2027. Four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune, as well as three-star edges Anthony Cavallaro and Jaxon Holly, are the others.Follow us @FSUWire on X and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Florida State news, notes, and opinions.
