Canada's next budget to be unveiled this week amid U.S. trade war, economic uncertainty

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s push for closer diplomatic co-operation between middle powers heads to a new venue this week, as he departs later Monday for the biennial Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, hosted this year by Antigua and Barbuda.

The leader of the official opposition also called on Carney to "keep your promised debt anchors," urging the prime minister to reduce the deficit until the budget is balanced.
