Bass entered Sunday’s game having made 18 straight field goals, tying the franchise record set by Rian Lindell during the 2007 season. His 56-yard field goal in the first gave him sole possession of the record, moving him past Lindell for the longest streak of consecutive successful regular-season field goals in Bills history. Bass’s streak dates back to the 2024 season and has continued through his return to the field this year after missing the entire 2025 season with an injury. Today’s field goal wasn’t the cleanest kick, but it ended on the right side of the goal post and that’s all that matters.A doink make from 56 yards out for Tyler Bass & the Bills!BALvsBUF on CBS/Paramount+Stream on @NFLPluspic.twitter.com/62oTe44wZb— NFL (@NFL) November 1, 2026The Bills kicker entered Sunday’s matchup a perfect 13-for-13 on field-goal attempts in 2026. He made four against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6, helping Buffalo secure a 33-30 win before heading into their bye week. The week before, against the Los Angeles Rams, he connected on a 45-yard field goal in overtime to give Buffalo a 37-34 win. While Bass has missed two extra-point attempts this season, he has yet to miss a field goal with today’s 56-yarded being the longest. Lindell’s streak ran from October 21 through December 9, 2007. During that stretch, he tied Steve Christie’s previous franchise record of 17 consecutive field goals before extending the mark to 18. Lindell wasn’t the only kicker that Bass was compared to after the kick. The 56-yard boot was Bass’s sixth straight kick of 50+ yards – a mark that tied him with Stephen Hauschka (2017) for the Bills’ franchise record. His 51-yarder in the second quarter broke that tie.
