No. 12 Ole Miss dominated Auburn on Saturday, using a huge second half en route to a 45-15 victory inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.Head coach Pete Golding and his staff had a terrific crop of recruits on campus for the early Saturday afternoon kick and these talented football prospects can see themselves helping Ole Miss make College Football Playoff runs in the years to come.As Golding and company work on a 2028 class that Rivals already ranks No. 3 nationally, the headliner on campus for Ole Miss was the Rivals300’s No. 4 offensive tackle and No. 23 prospect overall in Samuel Bailey. The Florida commit is the No. 1 ranked prospect in the state of Alabama and is keeping a few schools warm moving forward including the Rebels.Bailey wasn’t the only prized recruit to visit from Alabama. The nation’s No. 1 interior offensive lineman Joey Fleming and No. 1 tight end Kaleb Ballard were on campus. Fleming is trending Alabama early in his process while Ballard had been considered an Auburn lean. Both continue to see an exciting Ole Miss offense.Six of the top seven in-state prospects in the junior class were in town led by the state’s No. 1 overall prospect and No. 29 player overall in Geraci Carson. There’s been a lot of buzz around Oregon for Carson but the Rebels are certainly building a strong case to keep him home. The other in-state blue-chippers that visited included the nation’s No. 8 receiver Joshua Parker, the No. 2 running back in the country Zaiden Jernigan and four-star defensive tackle Andrae Maddox and four-star linebacker Tray Washington. The Rebels are already the Rivals Prediction Machine favorite for Parker, Maddox and Washington. This was Jernigan’s third home game of the season at Ole Miss as the Rebels look to hold off Notre Dame and others to keep him home.“It was good they started off a little slow but was able to pick it up,” Jernigan said.Beyond those prospects that are in Ole Miss’s recruiting backyard, the Rebels staff had Southlake (Texas) Carroll offensive tackle Ty McCurry back for a second time this season. He also attended the win over LSU. Ole Miss is his leader and I’ve added a Rivals Prediction Machine forecast to reflect that.Stay tuned to Rivals as more intel and commentary comes in.
