Bitcoin Magazine Librería de Satoshi Rebrands to ISMOS, Launches Global Platform to Train One Million Bitcoin Developers Librería de Satoshi, the technical education organization, recently announced the launch of its global platform as they rebrand to ISMOS and shows off a new website. The organization aims to expand its Bitcoin and open-source developer education program throughout the world, creating local hubs across the world and delivering education programs in local languages.Since 2021, ISMOS has reached more than 3,665 people in more than 40 countries and has financially supported 30 open-source developers, according to a press release shared with Bitcoin Magazine. “Talent is universal; opportunity is not. I founded Librería de Satoshi because I experienced the language barrier in Bitcoin firsthand. ISMOS takes that mission worldwide, so that the next great developer can come from anywhere,” said Dulce Villarreal, CEO and founder of ISMOS. What began as a Bitcoin school for Spanish speakers is today a technical education ecosystem and a complete training path for freedom technologies and open-source developers. ISMOS brings together educators and technology creators: a space to learn and teach with “Freedom Tech values, in more languages, more regions, and more disciplines, with a growing presence in universities, bootcamps, and programming communities.” ISMOS was born in Latin America as Librería de Satoshi and is now a global movement. One Million Bitcoin Developers Around the World ISMOS combines rigorous study programs, direct mentorship, and fellowships in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, and soon in more languages. Subjects will include Bitcoin, cryptography, cybersecurity, mathematics, AI, Nostr, open-source software, and open AI models. The platform is open source, and software developers can explore its open tools at github.com/ismos-xyz. Today ISMOS is primarily supported by Btrust and the Human Rights Foundation. Other organizations, such as OpenSats and the Gemini Opportunity Fund, have supported its work in the past with smaller grants, according to the press release. The announcement reflects nearly five years of growth and a deeper commitment to equal opportunity. “Someone coding in Argentina, Nigeria, or El Salvador deserves the same chance to build a first-class technical career as anyone in Silicon Valley or London.”  SMOS aims to go beyond study programs to provide individual support to the best developers through programs such as B4OS (Bitcoin 4 Open Source), fellowships, and its developer residencies: “in their language, at their level, and with the specific support they need to go further than they imagined.” Press contactKarina Conde, Director of Operations. comms@ismos.xyz This post Librería de Satoshi Rebrands to ISMOS, Launches Global Platform to Train One Million Bitcoin Developers first appeared on Bitcoin Magazine and is written by Juan Galt.
