God, I have a hard time with that. Insults women. God, I have a hard time with it, and I’m so afraid to say it,” Hall of Famer Bradshaw said in an appearance on The Rich Roll Podcast.Bradshaw, 78, then explained why he’s been hesitant to speak out on politics.“It makes me shake my head. And I’m in a position, as a matter of fact, I’ve never said any of this before, because you know why? Because if you pick a side, you lose the other side. There are 350 million Americans, and if you split them down the middle, that’s 175 million, right? Yeah. If I don’t want to lose 175. Of course not.”Interestingly enough, this actually isn’t Bradshaw’s first time criticizing the President.  In 2017, Trump was outspoken in his criticism of NFL players who knelt during the national anthem.“This is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, it’s freedom. People died for that freedom. I’m not sure if our President understands those rights,” Bradshaw said at the time. “That every American has the right to speak out also to protest. Believe me, these athletes do love our this great country of ours. Personally, I think our President should concentrate on North Korea and healthcare rather than ripping into athletes and the NFL.”Unfortunately, Bradshaw may not have a public platform to speak out against the President for much longer. He recently got candid about his future at Fox.“I think I’m going through now what everybody that’s in their 70s goes through. I’m 78. I just signed a two-year extension, and I’m pretty sure no matter how well I perform over the next two years, they’re going to want to replace me,” Bradshaw told journalist Jake Nisse during an interview.“I’m not going to announce my retirement, because in two years when we do the Super Bowl, after my contract is expiring, I don’t want anybody to do a tribute,” he continued. “So I’m never going to say I’m going to retire. Because, look, they may say, ‘Hey, you’re still doing a good job. We’ll sign you for another year.’ That could easily happen. They’re pissing into the wind if they think I’m gonna tell them I’m retiring.”For as long as he is around, though, it seems he’ll be willing to wade into politics when he feels he must, even if he’s not totally comfortable doing so.The post ‘I’m so afraid to say it’: Fox NFL analyst slams Donald Trump despite hesitancy appeared first on The Comeback: Today’s Top Sports Stories & Reactions.
