High School Golf roundup: Sebastian River, South Fork sweep district titles

Here’s a roundup of district boys and girls golf results involving Treasure Coast teams from Monday, Oct. 26 and Tuesday, Oct. 27. It was a successful week for area schools as South Fork, Sebastian River and John Carroll Catholic each took home district titles in boys action while the South Fork and Sebastian River girls teams were able to do the same. Each of those squads also produced individual district champions. On the boys side, Gatlin Albright carded the lowest across all meets. The Bulldogs junior shot a 3-under-par 69 en route to a five-shot victory from the Winston Trails Golf Club and his second consecutive District 14-2A title. The Sharks junior earned a two-stroke win after shooting an even-par 72 from the Sebastian Municipal Golf Club.Things were even closer for Rams sophomore Jack Leen. He recorded an even-par 72 to take District 8-1A crown by one shot from the Pointe West Country Club.As for the girls, Sebastian River senior Adyson Millican wrapped District 7-2A three-peat as she put up an eight-over-par 80 for a five-shot win from the Sebasitan Municipal Golf Club.Lastly, South Fork’s Katherine Breslin picked up her first-ever district title. The Bulldogs senior was ahead of the pack with a 13-over-par 85 for a five-stroke win from the Winston Trails Golf Club.
