Rajasthan Royals added to it on Saturday with a Halloween reel on Instagram, and the responses arrived at one name almost immediately. The reel was titled "Biggest Horror Stories From Rajasthan" and is built around old scoreboards from Royals run chases, the horror in question belonging to whoever was bowling at the time. The caption reads: "Opened the video, got scared. Saw Banna, felt relieve…"Nothing in it mentions Hardik Pandya. What it has going for it, as far as the people watching are concerned, is the timing, coming four days after Chennai Super Kings circled the number 33 on a sheet of paper in their own coaching announcement video.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals)MORE: CSK fuel Hardik trade rumours with intriguing 10:33 social media postFans react to Rajasthan Royals' Hardik Pandya trade hintSeveral took it as confirmation that the Royals had moved ahead of Chennai in the race."After watching the video of @rajasthanroyals about hinting possible trade of Hardik Pandya, it's look like now it's done for CSK. "Rajasthan Royals have started dropping hints that Hardik Pandya could be on his way to the franchise. Is a big IPL 2027 trade on the cards?" one asked.🚨 RAJASTHAN ROYALS HINT AT HARDIK PANDYA'S ARRIVAL? 👀Rajasthan Royals have started dropping hints that Hardik Pandya could be on his way to the franchise. Is a big IPL 2027 trade on the cards?— (@VishalY73709681) October 31, 2026A shorter version of the same thought did the rounds too. Ain't no way Pollard's giving their prime player to us. Also Jaiswal is 1000% better than Dube," they wrote.Hardik Pandya to Rajasthan Royals is almost done it seems. R Ashwin said this week that Rajasthan and Kolkata were the realistic destinations, that Jaiswal is understood to be keen on a move, and that Mumbai would likely want a Sam Curran or an Indian seamer alongside him. What complicates it is that this deal has already been tried. Talks over a Pandya-Jaiswal swap stalled in mid-October with no active negotiations between the clubs, and Jaiswal is contracted to Rajasthan for at least another season, which makes any movement awkward rather than impossible.Riyan Parag led the Royals to fourth and an Eliminator last season, so the captaincy is not vacant either. With retentions closing on November 15 and the mini auction on December 16, something will have to be said out loud before long, and a Halloween reel is not it.For all the latest cricket news, opinion, and commentary, and to share your voice, head to our Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) pages.
