Glastonbury's #4 Brady Nilsen, right, celebrates his go-ahead goal with teammate #10 Jack Smith during the second half of a CIAC high school boys soccer match against Tolland at Glastonbury High School in Glastonbury, Conn., Tuesday, September 15, 2026. (Dave Zajac/Hearst Connecticut Media) Welcome to the penultimate edition of GametimeCT's boys soccer power rankings. The conference tournaments are in the books, and the beginning of the CIAC tournaments are upon us.There were some shakeups caused by the conference tournament results, with two teams dropping out of the Top 10. Weston, which was bounced out of the Top 10 in Week 7, returns this week at No. 8 after claiming the SWC championship in a 4-0 victory over New Milford. As a result, New Milford has fallen out of the Top 10. Coming in at No. 9 is newcomer Berlin, which has been on a hot streak in the second half of the season and defeated Tolland in the first round of the CCC tournament (it also nearly took out eventual champion Glastonbury in the semifinals). Berlin's rise led to Waterford falling out of the Top 10. Because of the CCC tournament results, Glastonbury and Tolland switched places, moving the Guardians up to No. 3 and the Eagles down to No. 4. Trumbull was the biggest riser, moving up from No. 10 to No. 7 after reaching the FCIAC semifinals. Sign up for the Connecticut Briefing from CT Insider.
