Chiefs Single Out Rookie Emmett Johnson After 2 Straight Losses

The Kansas City Chiefs have lost two straight games, including last Sunday’s 28-24 defeat to the Denver Broncos. However, Emmett Johnson emerged as a bright spot in Week 9, and the team singled him out on social media.The rookie running back finished with one rushing attempt on 15 yards but shined as a receiver. He led the corps with five receptions on five targets for 128 yards and one touchdown. Patrick Mahomes showed a lot of trust in the 23-year-old, further strengthening their on-field chemistry. The star quarterback completed 30-of-41 passes for 321 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.Kansas City had a chance to extend its lead to six points late in the fourth quarter. Head coach Andy Reid sent the field-goal unit for a Harrison Butker 54-yard attempt. He missed wide right, giving the Broncos good field position. They will host the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium looking to snap their losing skid.
