The team elevated Kaiir Elam from the practice squad, so he should have a larger role in today’s game.Derwin James is also out, but he’s not on the inactive list, as he was moved to injured reserve earlier this weekend. He will have to miss at least four games for the Chargers.Meanwhile, the inactives for the Rams are QB Ty Simpson (emergency 3rd QB), LS Joe Cardona, OL Bill Murray, OL Keagen Trost, TE Colby Parkinson and OLB Desjuan Johnson. The Rams are getting star cornerback Trent McDuffie back after missing the last two games due to a groin injury. That should make the Chargers’ job a little harder as they try and win their first game of the season.Kickoff between the Chargers and Rams is set for 1:05 p.m. PT inside SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Fans can watch the game on FOX or stream it on the FOX One app.
