Arsenal still unsure on Saka as key injury question emergesMikel Arteta has admitted Arsenal still do not have a clear picture of Bukayo Saka’s injury, with further checks needed before they can say how serious it is.Photo by Alex Grimm/Getty ImagesMikel Arteta has revealed that Arsenal are trying to establish whether Bukayo Saka’s tendon has been affected as they continue to assess the winger’s quad injury but that the player is keen to be back quickly.Saka will miss Sunday’s trip to Liverpool after being forced off against Bayern Munich, but Arsenal are still waiting for a clearer picture before putting a timescale on his return.Arteta’s latest update offered one potentially significant detail, although it is important not to turn that into a diagnosis the club have not yet made.“As I said, he needed another scan to see how the amount of fluid that was there was resolving, whether the tendon is touched and how badly it is touched,” Arteta said.Photo by Alex Grimm/Getty Images“That’s all fine, and afterwards we’ll know more about it. We want to have him as quick as possible.
